Abdel (Joe) Manasra of Albuquerque claimed $72,500 in Pick 3 prizes. This is a record Pick 3 prize for any one New Mexico player for one drawing. It consists of 145 winning tickets for the Pick 3 December 12 EVE Draw. The winning numbers, 6-1-4 were Mr. Manasra’s father’s P.O. Box. He’s played them for years.

New Mexico Lottery was nationally recognized by the North America State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) for “Best New Instant Game of the Year” (2016) for the “Dia de Los Muertos” Scratcher™ game.


July 25

New Mexico Lottery launched a new pilot program called Play at the Pump. This new program allows players who purchase gas with a debit card to make lottery purchases at the gas pump. Thirteen retailers participated in the launch.

Lottery ends Fiscal Year 2016 with a record revenue of $46.3 million on net sales of $154.4 million.

New Mexico Lottery celebrates its 20th Anniversary.

Lottery launches biggest ticket ever, called “Super Ticket™.” The ticket dimensions are 8 inches wide by 12 inches tall. It is so big, that it can only be sold at retailers with special on-counter dispensers.

Powerball set the new World Record Jackpot at $1.586 Billion for the January 13, 2016 draw.


January 11

Jose Sarabia of Fort Stockton, TX, claimed a $2 million Powerball prize. He purchased his Powerball ticket with Power Play at Brewer Oil Loving Chevron in Loving. He has worked as a construction worker in Loving for the past three years.


January 25

Higher Education Department announces that more than 103,000 students have received Legislative Lottery Scholarships to attend college since 1996. More than 53,500 of those students have already graduated from college.
