Duplicate Numbers in Pick 4 Drawings

UPDATED: 03/01/2019

ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Lottery Authority introduced the $1 Pick 4 game in early February. Drawing integrity is of the utmost importance. As with any draw game, the Lottery monitors draw results and within the first two weeks of the new game inquired about a possible issue with the drawn numbers. It was determined that an error by the Lottery’s gaming vendor, which has been corrected, resulted in no duplicate Pick 4 numbers being selected in a draw. Technical corrections are also being made to the game.

The Lottery apologizes for any inconvenience to players and will issue refunds for impacted tickets. The gaming vendor will be responsible for costs incurred with the incident. Pick 4 plays without duplicate numbers and tickets from all other draw games were not impacted.

Players who purchased Pick 4 plays with at least two identical numbers (e.g. 1123, 1112, or 1111) from February 3 through the midday drawing on February 19, 2019, may contact the Lottery either in person or by postal mail to request a refund. Mail requests must include (1) the player’s full name, (2) the player’s mailing address, (3) the player’s contact phone number, and (4) the amount of Pick 4 plays purchased with at least two identical numbers. Players may receive the actual purchase value of plays if original tickets are provided. Requests should be submitted by March 15, 2019, and this offer is subject to termination by the Lottery.
