“I recently learned that Shell Foodmart is a lucky place to buy lottery tickets and so I began buying tickets there,” said ArsolaArsola also told lottery officials that she and several of her relatives benefited from a Legislative Lottery Scholarship. “If the lottery didn’t support the scholarship fund, I wouldn’t buy tickets,” added Arsola.

The lucky Silver City Shell Foodmart has sold an additional 18 winning tickets ranging from $1,000 to $515,000. The string of winners includes a $515,000 Roadrunner Cash™ prize, a $125,000 Scratcher prize, a $100,000 Powerball prize and a $100,000 Scratcher prize and many more big winning tickets.

The four Grant County co-workers include Karla McKay of Santa Clara, Michele Blackman-Legarda of Arenas Valley, Vicky McCauley of Silver City, and Judy Johnson of Hanover. They used to be part of a larger pool but it became too difficult to manage, so they quit buying tickets. In February, the group of four decided to play again. Two months later, they equally shared a $30,000 Hot Lotto® prize, each taking home $7,500. The co-workers said they would be back when they won the jackpot, because there were definitely going to continue playing the lottery.
