ALBUQUERQUE – The star on the New Mexico Lottery’s new Scratcher is a feline that’s “feeling” fine.

The “Pink Panther™*” Scratcher is a $2 game featuring top prizes of $5,000.

On the game’s five ticket scenes, the Pink Panther plays it cool to win over a pretty-in-pink lady panther.

The five tickets were illustrated by Hobbs native Holli Fillmore, who works for the New Mexico Lottery as a graphic designer. After graduating from Hobbs High School, Fillmore received a Legislative Lottery Scholarship, a college-tuition assistance program funded by lottery ticket sales. She used the scholarship to attend Doña Ana Community College where she earned an associate’s degree in digital graphic technology and then New Mexico State University where she graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

“I am so grateful to the Legislative Lottery Scholarship program for helping me go to college and pursue my dreams,” Fillmore said. “Now, I’m honored to help other kids go to college.”

Legislative Lottery Scholarships

Since its inception in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $553 million for education and more than 82,600 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
