ALBUQUERQUE – Four Roswell residents came to New Mexico Lottery headquarters last week to claim big prizes.

“I was shaking,” she recalled for lottery officials in Albuquerque Friday. Then the overjoyed winner said she kissed the surprised clerk on his cheek.

Evans purchased her ticket at Stripes No. 171 located at 2500 N. Main St. in Roswell.

Susie Connell won a $49,000 jackpot playing Roadrunner Cash. Connell’s quick-pick ticket for the game’s April 19 drawing matched the winning numbers of 6, 11, 13, 26 and 33.

Connell purchased her ticket at Onda South Main Shamrock at 225 S. Main St. in Roswell. She claimed the prize at lottery headquarters on April 23

Playing Hot Lotto , Darel and Genia Devenport won $10,000 in the game’s April 11 drawing. The winners played their own numbers including Darel Davenport’s birthday and their wedding anniversary. Their ticket matched the winning numbers of 4, 6, 9, 11 and 16. By not having the red Hot Ball of 12, they missed landing the night’s jackpot of $1.37 million.
