Law Enforcement Agent
Onsite: at 4511 Osuna Rd NE, Albuquerque
Pay: $37,659.00 – $60,380.84 per year
Job Description:
The Agent conducts criminal, administrative, and background security investigations, and provides comprehensive facility security and management to uphold the honesty, fairness, integrity, and security of the New Mexico Lottery Authority (NMLA). This role requires availability for on-call duties, including occasional nights and weekends, and involves administering established security policies, procedures, rules, and systems under the general direction of the Executive Vice President for Security.
Responsibilities include investigating incidents related to theft, fraud, employee misconduct, fleet and safety accidents, and violations of company policies and statutory requirements. The Agent conducts interviews, interrogations, surveillance, gathers evidence, prepares detailed reports, and collaborates with law enforcement agencies and legal entities to facilitate judicial processes. This position may also oversee lottery drawings, assist in rule development, examine and test equipment, manage the transfer, tracking, and destruction of lottery ticket stock, and participate in the ticket printing process to ensure vendor compliance with security protocols.
Additional duties involve conducting thorough background checks (including credit, criminal, employment, contract histories) on employees, retailers, vendors, and contractors to determine their eligibility to engage in business with the Lottery. Responsibilities extend to compiling investigative data, performing personal and telephone interviews, verifying official records, and making suitability recommendations.
The Agent will also monitor, maintain, and test building security and fire equipment, identify and recommend enhancements to security systems, respond actively to security breaches, provide personal protection to lottery staff, and assist with security at special events.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Agent must possess a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement and security practices, particularly as they relate to lottery operations and regulatory environments. The position requires demonstrated proficiency in investigative techniques, including interviewing, interrogation, surveillance, and evidence gathering, as well as the ability to prepare clear and thorough reports. Candidates must be competent in the use of computer systems, various software applications, and specialized video and photographic equipment utilized in security and investigative functions.
The Agent must be skilled in firearm handling and self-defense techniques and must currently hold and maintain active peace officer certification. A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of law enforcement experience. The ability to carry a firearm and successfully complete annual qualification requirements is mandatory.
Work Environment:
Primarily an office setting with necessary physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, and other movements related to physical security tasks. Position involves hazards typically associated with security operations.

Graphic Design Intern (12-week term)

Pay: $15-17 per hour; 15-20 hours per week – part-time
Job Description:
The Graphic Design Intern supports the Advertising & Marketing Division by assisting with the creation, production, and implementation of visual materials that promote the New Mexico Lottery Authority (NMLA). This position contributes to both print and digital marketing efforts while also supporting promotional events and operational needs. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities include:
Designing and producing graphics for print and digital platforms, including posters, signage, advertisements, and social media materials. The intern will print, assemble, and install Lottery signage at retail locations and assist in maintaining brand consistency across all marketing materials. Additional duties include supporting video and animated content production and contributing creative ideas to marketing initiatives.
The position also provides event and promotional support, including assisting with event setup and teardown, managing event materials, packaging and shipping promotional prizes, and participating in mascot or on-site promotional activities as needed.
The intern may perform other assigned tasks to support the division’s overall marketing and operational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a college-level graphic design or marketing program, preferably at the junior or senior level. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) is required. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere or animation software is preferred. Basic photography and videography skills are expected.
Additional Requirements and Skills:
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience using hand and power tools, large-format printers, and cutting equipment for signage production is preferred. Reliable transportation is required for travel to retail locations and promotional events.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based within the Advertising & Marketing Division, with occasional travel to retail locations and event sites. The role may involve light physical activity, including lifting, assembling signage, and event setup.
