ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Lottery now offers its players a chance to scratch like a Legend! The New Mexico Lottery’s newest game, Legends of Lucha Libre Scratchers – the first-ever Legends of Lucha Libre scratcher ticket in the nation – hits Lottery retailers on April 7, 2026, bringing the passion and high-flying fun of Lucha Libre to players across the Land of Enchantment.
Developed in collaboration with Alchemy3, Scientific Games, and Masked Republic®, this headliner features more than just a chance to win. The tickets are pieces of “playable art” that honor the shared identity, resilience, and warrior spirit that runs deep throughout New Mexico’s communities and culture.
About the Game
Legends of Lucha Libre Scratchers feature real-life, legendary Luchadores on 9 different scenes, with a chance to win up to $25,000 instantly. Each scene shimmers with Scientific Games’ Dimensions™ printing, resulting in a 3-D holographic-like pattern on each ticket.
Players can also enter their non-winning tickets for a second chance to win through the lottery’s Collect ‘N Win promotional platform. Entrants will have a chance to win one of fifteen $1,000 prizes, and one grand prize finalist will have a chance to win up to $1 million!
Within the Collect ‘N Win second-chance experience, players will have the opportunity to play a play-for-fun match game featuring Luchadores’ iconic masks!

To celebrate the ticket launch, on May 9, 2026, the New Mexico Lottery will host a live Legends of Lucha Libre wrestling event at the National Hispanic Cultural Center featuring more than 20 luchadores – including many of the legends and icons featured on the Lottery Scratchers. Scheduled to appear are L.A. Park®, Tinieblas Jr.™ & Alushe™, Ultimo Dragon™, Diosa Quetzal™, Solar™, Mascarita Dorada™, and many more!

A first of its kind

Legends of Lucha Libre was formed by Masked Republic in 2017 as the first-ever “players’ association” to represent the name, image, and likeness rights of luchadores. For nearly ten years, the company has created officially licensed products with the icons, legends and superstars of the sport deemed “intangible cultural heritage” by the government of Mexico City.
New Mexico Lottery: a Legendary Champion
The New Mexico Lottery has become a North American contender in its Scratcher games, having won the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) prestigious Buddy Roogow Innovation Award for Best New Instant Game five times, including the last four years in a row.
