How to Play Mega Millions

Mega Millions tickets are $5 per play. To purchase, ask for a Mega Millions ticket at any New Mexico Lottery retailer. Players can select their own numbers or ask for a Quick Pick to receive a random set of numbers. Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held at 9:00 PM Mountain Time on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Play Responsibly

The New Mexico Lottery reminds players that Lottery tickets are for ages 18 and older. David Barden, New Mexico Lottery CEO, states, “We are committed to responsible gaming and remind players to play responsibly. Keep it fun and only play what you can afford. Please do not gift tickets to children or encourage them to play the lottery. Our partner, the National Council on Problem Gambling, reports that early exposure to gambling can increase the risk of high-risk behaviors in youth.”

Lottery’s Biggest Winners? Legislative Lottery Scholarship Recipients

Of course, the biggest winners of all, thanks to New Mexico Lottery ticket sales, are New Mexico students and their families. One hundred percent of net Lottery proceeds fund college scholarships.

Since 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised more than $1.09 billion for education, and more than 155,000 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
