Powerball® Jackpot Reaches $1.6 Billion World Record

ALBUQUERQUEThe estimated Powerball® jackpot for the Saturday, November 5, 2022, draw has been increased to $1.6 billion.

This is the largest jackpot in Powerball’s 30-year history.

New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden said, “It is a very exciting time for our players. But, please remember to play responsibly. It only takes one ticket for a chance to win.”

If the jackpot is hit in New Mexico, it will be the sixth time the Powerball jackpot has been won in New Mexico. It would also be the largest jackpot won in New Mexico.

New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:00 p.m. MT on Saturday to buy tickets for the November 5th Powerball draw.

How to Play Powerball

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Drawings are broadcast live from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Powerball drawings are also live streamed online at Powerball.com.
