The Powerball® Jackpot is $508 Million

10/18/2022

ALBUQUERQUE – The estimated Powerball® jackpot for Wednesday’s October 19, 2022, draw is $508 Million.

This is the second time this year that the Powerball jackpot eclipsed $500 Million. The last time the Powerball jackpot was above $500 million was for the January 5 drawing, when tickets in California and Wisconsin split a $632.6 million jackpot.

New Mexico Lottery CEO David Barden said, “Jackpots this large inspire imagination for players. Plus, every ticket sold raises money for New Mexico students by funding Legislative Lottery Scholarships. It’s an exciting time of year to see such a big jackpot. Just remember to play responsibly.”

The Powerball jackpot has been hit five times in 2022. If the jackpot is hit in New Mexico, it will be the sixth time the Powerball jackpot has been won in New Mexico. It would also be the largest jackpot won in New Mexico.

New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:00 p.m. MT to buy tickets for Wednesday’s October 19th Powerball draw.

How to Play Powerball

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
