Leo Castillo of Crownpoint claims a $1 million Powerball prize from the October 21 drawing. His lucky Powerball ticket was purchased at Love’s Country Store #257 at I-40 and Horizon Blvd. in Milan.

October 4

The Powerball matrix changes to offer a better overall chance of winning a prize. Other changes include increasing the Match 4 prize from $10,000 to $50,000 and adding a 10X multiplier (excluding the $1 million and Jackpot prizes) when the Jackpot is $150 million or lower.

September 17

Albuquerque residents Erin and Shantill McKenna claim a $705,000 Roadrunner Cash prize from the 9/14/15 drawing. It is the second highest Roadrunner Cash jackpot to date.

August 8

James Gschwind of Alamogordo wins a 50th Anniversary Limited Edition 2015 Ford Mustang GT in a second-chance drawing that was held after an Isotopes Baseball game in Albuquerque. There were only 1,964 of this model made. Mr Gschwind was one of three finalists drawn from more than 45,000 entries of non-winning “Mustang Money” Scratchers.

August 4

Lottery launches the “Dia de los Muertos” Scratchers. This Scratcher costs $2, has six scenes, a $10,000 top prize and marks the first time that a New Mexico artist was featured on a New Mexico Lottery Scratcher. This was also the first time Dia de Los Muertos was featured on any Scratcher game in North America. The Lottery worked with local artist, Sean Wells, to create these of one-of-a-kind Scratchers.

Lottery ends Fiscal Year 2015 with revenue of $41.1 million on net sales of $137.1 million.

Los Lunas resident Ricardo Abeyta claims his $1 Million prize from the March 27 Mega Millions drawing.

March 3

New Mexico Lottery Scratchers hit a new daily sales record. Players bought a record $408,962 in Scratchers.

Lottery launches “Mustang Money” Scratchers – a $5 ticket with $50,000 top prizes. There is also a second-chance drawing for a 50th Anniversary Limited Edition 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Only 1,964 of these cars were made and the New Mexico Lottery is the only lottery in the world to give one away as a prize.

Las Cruces resident Romana Saavedra claims her $2 million prize from the Nov. 29, 2014 Powerball drawing.

January 13

VIP Points and Rewards program launches. Players can enter $1, $2 and $3 non-winning Scratchers into monthly drawings for cash and prize points to purchase prizes.
