Aztec Woman Wins $25,000 New Mexico Lottery Prize

ALBUQUERQUE – Patty Kline, left, said she “danced for joy” after revealing a $25,000 prize in the New Mexico Lottery’s “Bee Lucky Bingo” Scratcher.

Kline, pictured with daughter Rhonda Zielinski, right, bought her lucky $3 ticket at Sundial No. 7 located at 1315 W. Aztec Blvd. in Aztec. She said the prize is going to her savings account.

Kline is no stranger to lottery good fortune. A granddaughter received a Legislative Lottery Scholarship to study nursing at the University of New Mexico.

Legislative Lottery Scholarships

Since its inception in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $619.5 million for education and more than 90,000 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships. As of the spring 2013 semester, more than 4,600 students from San Juan County have received $17 million in scholarships.
