“This is cool,” Tafoya told New Mexico Lottery officials in Albuquerque today. “I’ve been dancing all weekend.”

The winner said he plans to use his prize to replace the roof on a building that he owns in downtown Las Vegas and launch a new business.

Tafoya bought his lucky ticket at Better Stop Convenience Store located at 1339 N. Grand Ave. in Las Vegas. Previously, the store has sold 34 large prize-winning lottery tickets paying between $1,000 and $70,000.

Also from Las Vegas, Patrick Baca won a $10,000 Powerball® prize in the game’s July 19 drawing.
