ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Lottery today – “Super Tuesday” – launches four Scratchers, including a Blackjack-style game where players and a dealer compete for a hand of 21 points.

In addition to instant cash prizes, members of the lottery’s free VIP Club can enter non-winning “Fantasy Blackjack” tickets into a drawing for a chance to win a trip for two to Las Vegas, Nev. The deadline to enter at www.nmlottery.com is Oct. 7, 2014.

The “Fantasy Blackjack” Scratcher also includes a free entertainment app that can be played on a computer or mobile device. Players and their Facebook friends can compete with the dealer for the top spot on the leader board.

  • $1 “5X the Cash” with a top prize of $1,500;
  • $5 “7X the Money” with a top prize of $50,000;

Best April Scratcher Sales in Two Years

Scratcher sales last month were the best April sales in two years. At $6.4 million, Scratchers sales were up almost $200,000 from April last year, and up $500,000 from April 2012.

On Super Tuesday in April, the lottery launched five Scratchers, including the “$500 Explosion” game. The $10 game was one of the month’s top sellers. With $3 million in prizes between $10 and $500, all prizes won playing “$500 Explosion” can be claimed in stores.

The lottery’s “Super Tuesday” strategy is designed to make the availability of new games more predictable to both stores and players and to help the lottery promote games more efficiently.
