Mega Millions® Jackpot at $400 Million

ALBUQUERQUE – The $400 million jackpot in tonight’s Mega Millions® drawing is the game’s third-largest.

If the $400 million prize lands in New Mexico, it will beat the state’s previous record jackpot of $206.9 million shared by nine Powerball® players from the Roswell area in September 2008.

New Mexico Lottery players have until 8:45 p.m. MT to buy tickets for the 9 p.m. drawing. Tickets are $1 per wager.

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are approximately 1 in 259 million. The odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are approximately 1 in 15.

The record Mega Millions jackpot of $656 million was shared by players from Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. In December 2013, players from California and Georgia landed a $648 million Mega Millions jackpot.
