Higher Education Department announces that more than 90,000 students have received Legislative Lottery Scholarships to attend college since 1996. More than 43,300 of those students have already graduated from college.

Roadrunner Cash jackpot rolls to $890,000. The record-jackpot prize is shared by San Juan resident Mary Virgili, who bought her ticket at Ohkay Travel Center on Highway 68 in the San Juan Pueblo, and Albuquerque resident Carlos Solis, who bought his ticket at Mom’s Gas and Food LLC located at 12011 State Highway 14 North in Cedar Crest.

Changes made to the multi-state Mega Millions® game:

  • The $12 million-starting jackpot increases to $15 million;
  • If not hit, a jackpot will climb by at least $5 million after each drawing;
  • The prize for matching five white balls increases from $250,000 to $1 million;
  • Players who add Megaplier® to a wager will have the opportunity to win a top non-jackpot prize of $5 million, up from $1 million.

Glenn Farnsworth of Albuquerque claimed a $1 million Powerball® prize. Since Powerball’s introduction of the $2 ticket and $1 million and $2 million prizes in January 2012, nine New Mexico Lottery players have become Powerball millionaires. Farnsworth purchased his lucky ticket at Phillips 66/Circle K No. 6118 located at 900 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE in Albuquerque.

Doug and Roberta Barnard of Rio Rancho claim a $7.6 million Hot Lotto® jackpot from the New Mexico Lottery today. This is the sixth Hot Lotto jackpot won in New Mexico. The Barnards purchased their lucky ticket at Brewer Oil Sandia Shell located at 7801 Carr Way in Rio Rancho.

Lottery ends Fiscal Year 2013 with revenue of $43.7 million on net sales of $141.8 million, its highest profits ever.

The New Mexico Lottery introduces “Second Chance City,” an online venue for players to learn about current second-chance drawings and promotions.

Hot Lotto advertised jackpot changed to reflect the after-tax amount. Five of the game’s eight non-jackpot prizes increased.

John Baker of Albuquerque claims a $2 Million Powerball prize. The lucky ticket was purchased at7-Eleven located at 1801 San Pedro Dr. NE in Albuquerque. The winning numbers were drawn March 6, 2013.

New Mexico Lottery announces mid-year financials. Net sales, prizes and profits up compared to same time period previous year (Sales up 11%, prizes to players up $3 million and scholarship profits up $2.1 million from previous year.)
