Merry Scratchers Wrap Up Holiday Gift Giving
ALBUQUERQUE – Your trash could wind up being a treasure.
The New Mexico Lottery is offering Scratcher players a second chance to land great cash prizes with their non-winning tickets.
Starting today at www.nmlottery.com, players can enter their non-winning Scratchers into a drawing for 50 prizes of $500 each.
A qualifying entry must include five tickets from Scratcher games in stores now. Players can enter multiple times with different tickets.
The promotion ends Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. The drawing is scheduled for Dec. 11.

Three holiday Scratchers are on sale now at 1,120 lottery retailers statewide.

“5X Merry Money” features top prizes of $25,000; “Tis the Season” has top prizes of $5,000; and “Stocking Stuffer” has top prizes of $500.
At the holidays, Scratchers are among the lottery’s most popular games, particularly among last-minute shoppers, large families that set price limits on presents, co-workers and employers, and gift givers looking for unusual wrapping paper, tags and decorations.
Players are reminded that they should not buy tickets as gifts for children.
So far this year, New Mexico Lottery players have won more than $49 million, including a record seven prizes of $1 million each.

Since its inception in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $539 million for education and more than 75,300 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
