Alamogordo Woman Wins $50,000 New Mexico Lottery Prize

ALBUQUERQUE – Elizabeth McCombs of Alamogordo won $50,000 playing the New Mexico Lottery’s “10X the Money” Scratcher. McCombs bought her lucky $5 ticket at the Giant store located at 700 1st St. in Alamogordo. Her first big purchase will be to repair a car.

Earlier in the month, Alamogordo residents Arleen Ledezma won a $2,500 prize playing “Pick 3” while Manuel Guisa won $1,500 playing the “Moneybag Crossword” Scratcher.

Legislative Lottery College Scholarships

Since 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $526 million for education and more than 75,300 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships. As of the Spring 2011 semester, more than 2,300 students from Otero County have received $10.8 million in Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
