New Mexico Lottery Sells Powerball® Ticket Worth $1 Million

01/19/2012

ALBUQUERQUE – A New Mexico Lottery player is holding a winning ticket worth $1 million from last night’s Powerball drawing.

The winning ticket matches the white ball numbers of 6, 29, 34, 44, and 50. The ticket missed the red Powerball of 28 for the night’s $80 million jackpot.

This is the nation’s first $1 million Powerball prize following Sunday’s launch of the game’s new format. Previously, the prize for matching five white balls was $200,000.

The lottery recommends that the ticketholder sign the ticket immediately and call New Mexico Lottery security to make arrangements to claim the prize.
