Lottery Ticket Sales Fund College Scholarships

ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Lottery has the recipe to make holiday entertainment a little sweeter.

The “Candy Cane Cash” and “Sugar Cookies” Scratcher games are available now to holiday shoppers looking for Secret Santa gifts, hostess gifts, stocking stuffers or a present for themselves.

The $2 “Candy Cane Cash” game features a top prize of $10,000. For $1, the “Sugar Cookies” Scratcher has a $1,000 top prize.

The holiday games were made from scratch by lottery artists Jessica Quintana and Holli Fillmore. Fillmore, 26, attended Doña Ana Community College and New Mexico State University on a Legislative Lottery Scholarship. She graduated from NMSU in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

The Gift of a College Education

When players purchase New Mexico Lottery games, they’re giving the gift of a college education. Since 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $497 million for education and more than 75,000 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
