The New Mexico Lottery is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Accountant position. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision in applying GAAP to perform statistical and data analysis; maintain general and specialized accounting systems; prepare and submit financial and operating reports; and perform specialized accounting projects. Microsoft Dynamics GP experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 applications is essential. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting degree is required; incumbent must possess three or more years prior work experience wherein the ability to perform the position’s duties has been adequately demonstrated and must be able to pass an extensive background investigation. Duties include, but are not limited to, handling incoming and outgoing telephone sales communications to retailers, players, lottery staff and the general public. Resumes are being accepted for a Marketing Intern. The Marketing Intern will develop, review and/or produce marketing materials, graphics, promotions and events to promote the New Mexico Lottery, its winners, its products and its beneficiaries. Some weekend work may be requested. This is a paid internship position. The position pays $10 hourly. Pursuit or recent completion of a Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.  The intern must have excellent communication and technical writing skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.) Photography experience is a plus. The intern must be a highly creative and motivated individual. Due to a wide variety of marketing department initiatives, the intern must be flexible and a team player. Additionally, he/she must be a self-starter and have leadership skills. An ability to manage many projects in parallel is necessary. Additionally, the intern must be capable of using a variety of tools including, but not limited to, hand tools, power tools, and cutting instruments.
