How to claim a prize

  • Sign your ticket so only you can claim it. The ticket is a bearer instrument until signed.
  • All drawing game prizes must be claimed within 90 days from the date of the drawing or the business day prior to the 90th day if the Lottery is not open for business.
  • All Scratcher prizes must be claimed within 90 days of their announced end of game or the business day prior to the 90th day if the Lottery is not open for business. Click here for Scratcher end dates.
  • To claim a prize of:
    • $100,000+:
      must be claimed in person at Lottery headquarters.
    • $601 - $99,999:
      must be claimed at Lottery headquarters or mailed with a completed claim form to:

      P.O. Box 93190
      Albuquerque, NM 87199-3190
    • $1 - $600:
      may be claimed at a New Mexico Lottery retailer or by mailing to the New Mexico Lottery. No claim form is required.
  • Payment of prizes of $1 million or more may be delayed for periods of three weeks, or more, from the date of validation of the original winning ticket.

Remember, claim forms are only required for prizes of $601 or more. Smaller prizes can be claimed at a Lottery retailer.
