”* game features the warted witch of comic-strip fame. After cutting up the funny pages for more than 35 years, the cantankerous love-starved sorceress is still searching for a date or mate from her home in an enchanted forest.
Broom-Hilda’s green (not grim) visage graces six Scratcher tickets. On two tickets, Broom-Hilda is shown bedeviled by her sidekicks Irwin Troll and Gaylord Buzzard. Player Valerie Anderson of Albuquerque just claimed the first of the game’s three $10,000 top prizes.
In a more ominous theme, a ghostly mist haunts the “Lucky 13 Doubler” game. It features three top prizes of $13,000.
Both $2 games are available now at 1,100 lottery retailers statewide.
No Tricks, Just Treats
At Halloween, players have extra fun with the versatility of Scratchers as entertaining games and clever gifts.
The best party hosts use Halloween Scratcher tickets as party invitations, costume prizes, nametags and table place cards, wine glass charms and goody bag decorations. After the party, guests go home with a terrific treat.
Halloween Scratchers have also been known to reanimate as hostess gifts, bookmarks in horror and suspense novels, and as surprise additions to greeting and get-well-soon cards.
