As luck would have it, the New Mexico Lottery is introducing a Scratcher game to celebrate the chance
of good things happening on a Friday the 13th.
The “Lucky Symbols” game features top prizes of $13,000. Potential winning
numbers are hidden under images of traditional lucky icons such as wishbones and
horseshoes. The $2-game is available now at 1,100 lottery retailers statewide.
In the lottery’s 12-year history, more than 80 players have claimed $1.4 million
in top-tier prizes on Friday the 13th. The 13th has fallen on a Friday
21 times since 1996. Prizes have ranged between $600 and $100,000 with an
$800,000 Powerball® prize awarded on Oct.
13, 2006.
Gas Prizes
As a thank you to its loyal Scratcher players, the New Mexico Lottery will give
away 100 prizes of free gas in a July 1 drawing. To
enter the drawing, players can return their non-winning Scratcher tickets
purchased from current New Mexico Lottery Scratcher games. All entries must
be received by 4:30 p.m. June 27.
Complete drawing rules and entry details are available at
www.nmlottery.com and the lottery’s headquarters.
$355 Million Raised for Education
All net revenues from the sale of lottery games benefit the Legislative Lottery
Scholarship program, which provides tuition assistance for New Mexico residents
attending the state’s public colleges and universities.
Since its inception in 1996, the lottery has raised $355 million for public education
in New Mexico and more than 50,000 students have received
Legislative Lottery Scholarships. Information on Legislative Lottery Scholarships
is available at www.nmlottery.com.
